Charles L. Bryan
Charles Bryan is a Florida native who was born in Hardee County and continued to live there until he moved to Highlands County in 1972. As a Hardee County resident he was elected and served on the Hardee County School Board for four years.
After working for 25 years in the Telecommunications Industry, Mr. Bryan was appointed in December of 1995 by the late Governor Lawton Chiles as Highlands County Tax Collector. He was elected in November of 1996 and re-elected in September of 2000 by a wide margin of votes.
Mr. Bryan's military experience includes six years with the Army National Guard, of which he served six months on active duty.

Family:
Charles and his wife Debbie live in the Sun 'N Lake Development in Sebring. They have two grown children and six grandchildren.
